Brivia Question #13

Brivia! : Bunnies Trivia

Please note this very naval picture drawn by a new member to our Bunny Artist Team: Micah Spangler.  Which United States Navy vessel is depicted on this Technology Resource for the Killer Bunnies Odyssey game?  What was the most noteworthy fact about this ship at the time of its launch?

Here are the rules: Twice every month, CTA will post a Bunnies Trivia question.  The first person (by time stamp) to answer correctly will win a prize (prizes vary and will be announced as the winners receive them).  You may only submit one answer per question, so think carefully before you Send.  Also, we will limit Brivia to one winner per month.  Remember that all answers to Brivia must go through our web filter which can take a few days.  Thank you in advance for your patience and participation.

  1. “And Admiral….it’s the Enterprise”

    U.S.S. Enterprise
First (and only) vessel with more than 2 nuclear reactors (it had 8).

Which may be why Chekov and Uhura could collect enough high-energy photons to successfully regenerate the dilithium crystals on the “HMS Bounty”. :-)

  19. We have a winner! This time it is Ryan Krippendorf who guessed correctly that it was the Enterprise (CVN-65), not a tough stretch for a big Star Trek fan like myself, and also that it was the first nuclear wessel (I mean aircraft carrier). A few other facts might have been that it housed 8 nuclear power plants. Starting with the America (CVN-66), the Navy decided that 8 was overkill and switched to four, it is the flag ship of the fleet, it is the longest nuclear aircraft carrier, and it was named after a British sailing merchant vessel.
